HowTo, FAQ and Hints
This is a plain and unsorted collection of yawk related hints. If this list ever gets enough entries I'll think about structuring this better.
- Access key hint for Opera
-
To make access keys work a little bit better in Opera do the following: Under "Settings" (usually "Ctrl+F12") you can define the key combination "
. ctrl alt" to have the function "Enter access key mode | Leave access key mode" which does then the same as the original "Shift+Esc". Notice that "Alt+Ctrl+." is "AltGr+." on my keyboard which is only two keys to press. - How can I load a yawk wiki as sidebar?
-
The easiest way is to go to a wikifile's infopage and to choose the "Bookmark as sidebar" link.
- What is the "side-search" mode?
-
The side-search mode is searching a wiki in sidebar mode with the framing option set to "new window". This will open all links of matching documents in a new browser window.
- Why behaves the sidebar sometimes wrong? I use Firefox as browser.
-
Firefox insists on the link attribute
TARGET="_self"to open links from the sidebar in the sidebar. I think this is wrong but nevertheless I try to support it. It is however difficult and some link I might have missed to adapt.
